If you make your husband feel like a king, he will make you feel like a queen (and vice versa). Some people say “happy wife, happy life” but that’s not true — the happiest marriages are where both people feel spoiled by their partner. You’ve got each other’s backs and you look out for their happiness because, that’s what makes you happy.

MY WEEKEND, 8/15/14 - 8/17/14

FRIDAY_ I finally had my annual review. Since it was really late (2.5 months to be exact) at least I look forward to having a little extra money on my next paycheck. After work we went to my aunt’s house for a BBQ and then we took Sean’s mom and sister to the airport. Raini is going to be a freshman at Colorado State University! I’m so proud of her. I felt a little sad that I never had that “college experience” that she’s going to have, yet at the same time I know that if I did leave Alaska I probably would never had met Sean. As the saying goes, everything happens for a reason :)

SATURDAY_ I went to Lonetta’s house in the morning and she cooked us some yummy breakfast. Then we drove out to Girdwood. Ah, the drive was a little scary for me because it was so windy I could feel my car pushing against the wind and rain! Unfortunately it was dreary while we were in Girdwood so we decided to just eat lunch there. I wanted to try out Jack Sprat but we weren’t too hungry at the time so we ate at Chair 5 instead for some drinks and appetizers. Lonetta said she’s never looked at the houses in Potters Creek so I took her there. It was so nice daydreaming while we driving around the neighborhood. I hadn’t done that in a long time. We got some coffee from Starbucks and then I headed home and took a nap. Sean got home from work and then we went to Tofu House with Jeremy and Jeralyn. I love Korean food!! I wish we had a Korean BBQ joint up here where the tables have their own grills.

SUNDAY_ Didn’t do too much yesterday, we babysat my niece and went grocery shopping at Costco and Fred Meyer’s. I’m mad at myself for forgetting to use my $21 Costco Rewards check but oh well - I can always use it next time!

One of my girlfriends LOVES cats. Love would almost be an understatement, she just absolutely L O V E S  C A T S. One of my participants sent her a YouTube video of cats singing and she thought it was so cute that she almost started crying! I wanted to burst out in laughter but then I realized that you should never laugh at something someone is passionate about. OK, so I did laugh a little but I didn’t think it was silly of her for getting so emotional over it =)

I am the same exact way when it comes to Disney. Example - I ALWAYS tear up when I watch Disney parks fireworks and World of Color. It NEVER fails. It makes me so happy.

I hope you become so passionate about something in your life that you get emotional over it too.

So yesterday I was doodling in my notebook and I felt one of my coworkers behind me so I awkwardly closed it really fast. I brought it up during our lunch together and since we’re good friends and I didn’t want to be awkward I just told her that I was doodling my future children’s names and she said, “OH, hahahaha! Don’t worry, I do the same thing”
LOL, it inspired me to type up my Facebook post:
The different doodling stages in life - 1. Doodling your name 2. Doodling your crush’s name 3. Doodling your boyfriend’s name 4. Doodling your married name 5. Doodling your future children’s names! Hehehe
I don’t really have any boys names I’m set on yet, I told Sean I liked the name Preston but it didn’t seem like he liked it. Can’t wait for the day to come when we can put serious thought into baby names! :)
