A Guide To Never Growing Up

Let’s take a leaf out of Peter’s book and try the whole not growing up thing. Obviously we all grow older physically, but there’s something to be learned from keeping that youthful outlook on life, just like Peter. So here are some tips remain one of the young-in-heart; the ones who “believe that when you wish upon a star, your dreams come true.” And that’s straight from Walt himself…

On July 17 I was looking around for new places to work and a Training Specialist position popped up with Doyon Universal Services. I pretty much cover all of the qualifications and immediately felt drawn to apply for it. Today I went through the first round of interview and I’m hoping and praying they’ll call me in for the second! It was my first time doing an interview via the web so it was pretty interesting. I’m feeling pretty good about this :)

My Weekend, July 25 - 27, 2014

FRIDAY_ After work we got our camping gear packed up and ready to go. Before we left town we went to my aunt’s house to greet my grandma on her birthday and also to visit my other aunt that is visiting. We ate some yummy pancit! We camped at our favorite spot at the Williwaw Campground near Portage Glacier, #9. For dinner we had a hobo meal… Basically a tin foil meal of potatoes, carrots, onions, mushrooms, ground beef, and onion powder soup that I saw on Pinterest. It rained but it wasn’t too bad. I tell you, camping with an air mattress, buddy heater, and a canopy is a must! Glamping at its finest. LOL

SATURDAY_ We didn’t leave the campsite at all. We pretty much relaxed the whole time on this trip, it was much needed! We played a few rounds of Uno, watched Disney movies, had lengthy conversations, and ate a lot of food. Aside from the typical “camping” food we also made some quesadillas! Sean’s family even drove out to come visit us for a while. They were pretty impressed with our glamping skills. Hahaha

SUNDAY_ We decided to leave a little early and skip making breakfast. I wanted to get into town earlier so I can have time to prep for my interview. On the way home I was finally able to take my cell phones off of airplane mode (we don’t get reception where we camp) and got a voicemail from my dad wanting to go shooting. Since my dad usually works on the weekends I knew I had to take advantage of this opportunity! Sean and I grabbed breakfast from McDonald’s, came home to unpack and shower, and then headed to the range. We started at the handgun range and then migrated over to the rifle range. I got to shoot my dad’s assault rifle, I want one of my own now! Someday!
